| Learning how to juggle was made part of the curriculum by several schools. Others may see it as ridiculous, however teachers in these schools, says it's not. A juggling program was instituted in 1994 in Alimacani Elementary School in Jacksonville, Florida. Helping children get ready to learn how to read is the cause why the program was instituted. Teachers noticed that concentration levels increased even if there is no scientific evidence to support these claims. Those who had trouble juggling are those students who had trouble reading, this is what they have noticed. "Juggling breaks" were instituted in Nowlin Elementary School in Blue Springs, Missouri. Students were provided an opportunity to practice juggling during classroom time by these breaks. They are refreshed and able to concentrate by the time they return to their desks. The students seemed to put more effort into classes and are less likely to have discipline problems; this is what the principal of Nowlin said. An advocate for the benefits of students learning how to juggle is Dave Finnigan. "Juggling for Success," a school workshop where he teaches students how to juggle with scarves was created by him. Finnigan says that "Juggling is a great model for learning in general because you can only learn to juggle step by step." The students have been given the chance to perform what they have learned at the end of the day in the full-day workshop.
